Every bed cover has positives and negatives. You gotta figure out which positive you want and which negative you can accept.

Retracting covers sacrifice bed space and are expensive, but they are convenient and look great.
Flip covers are slightly less convenient than retracting covers, but you don't sacrifice as much bed space (you still sacrifice a couple inches at the front). They also look great.
Lockable hard covers are lockable and secure, but are heavy and inconvenient.

Overall I went with a Bakflip MX4. I really like it.
And any cover with tracks that protrude inside the rails is a risk when hauling bulky stuff and hard on your hand when you climb onto the side of the tailgate by grabbing the inside of the bed rail when you step up.

Hey guys..
I know this is off topic, but are there any thoughts on a bed cover ?? I was looking at the revolver x4s. Any opinions?? Thoughts??
I considered the X4s and the mx4, for me I ultimately went with the mx4 because you can unfold it in section(s) and leave other parts down for some protection and concealment. Like some lumber sticking out the top of the tailgate and still cover the other 2/3's. The revolver you have to roll it all the up or all closed. I like both for the ease of removable for whole bed access. Both look great

Just buy it later before your factory warranty expires. Then if you decide to sell the truck you are not out the warranty.
words of wisdom. I bought the premium ESP. now that I ordered a 22' I regret it because I am just at 36k miles now. Good thing is you at least get a rebate at a prorated amount you dont use. but from when you bought it divided over the total time it lasts. not from when the factory warranty ended. If I did it again id wait until I near the 36k miles.

I dont have a problem getting the maintenance because you essentially are paying for service in advance avoiding any price increases id probably do that again. (just don't finance any of it if possible). id also do the service for a longer period. because most of the expensive maintenance that ford covers starts to happen after 100k. if you don't plan on keeping it that long. even the service plan is somewhat a waste until after 60k. cus I believe the shocks are covered too. if you only keep your vehicles for 5 yrs around 75k. maybe neither are actually worth it. except for piece of mind insurance policy.

if you think you want to do the Maintenance ya need to do that at the beginning before first oil change to get every benefit from it. as said before id wait until factory warranty is about to end at 3yr/36k. the bumper to bumper covers everything up til then

Can you buy the flood Ford ESP close to the end of the 3/36 factory warranty and still get the same price/rate as new or does it change and go up?
