Not sure how many of you have ever worked logistics or seen what goes on behind the scenes but there are a lot circumstances that can cause delays and misrouting.

No excuses regarding the OP situation but they like all essential workers are working in unfamiliar environment right now and delays are going to occur. Hope you parts finally do get to you but make sure the sender insures any high value item being shipped regardless of the carrier.

The whole COVID thing is slowing all deliveries but at least 300% normal speeds.

*1st world problem RANT ahead, look away!

Our amazing prime orders are taking 6-8 days to arrive whether they ship UPS or USPS. I have had 2 truck part orders ship out 2 weeks ago (FEDEX is the carrier for both) and both orders keep getting rescheduled for a later delivery. Supposedly one is arriving today, and the other on Thursday.

I get that there was in increase in online ordering, but the major shipping companies plan for the rushes for holiday seasons, why aren’t they hiring a temporary crew to fill the reduced employee gaps for this COVID season. This isn’t a new thing, lockdown started in March for California... 8 weeks ago.

*1st world problem rant over.

During Christmas time most carriers higher temp help to join the drivers and assist in deliveries but that can’t occur now since it’s one person per truck.

I’m also assuming it’s the same in the warehouses they have to move people further apart...

We are lucky. Both Fed Ex and UPS are exemplary in how they do their business her. We live in a nice neighborhood with a police station at the front. Never had a package disappear.

Both Fed-EX and UPS hit out street between 4 and 5pm every day like clockwork. So I can schedule around that.

The one or two time I did a local pick up at the hub were easy as well.

Amazon deliveries.....they are a joke.
