Extended Engine Cranking when starting

Has anyone checked for leaking injectors? My 2011 edge had a long crank, stutter and start after 15-45 min of being shut down. With a restart in less than 15 min was no issue, same with being off overnight it would start no issue. Would only long crank and stutter start after the 15-45 min of being shut down.
Worked with my local dealer and pulled the injector to pressure test them. Found that 5 of the 6 were leaking. Replaced them all and have not had any starting issues since.

I've also heard the Gt500's had a similar issue causing the extended crank.

Next time the truck does this open the hood and find the fuel rail pressure test port, poke the valve and release some fuel pressure. Place a paper towel around it to catch the fuel then see if it starts. Make sure to leave key on otherwise when you cycle the key the pump will recharge the rail.

I have been a diag technician for 35 years, my hellcat had a issue like this and it ended up being excessive fuel pressure. I would drive car get it warm and come out of the store and car would not start, just crank. Figured out fuel pressure was way to high and the injectors could not stay closed when warm, releasing the pressure from rail allowed car to start right up. Just try it, it will eliminate many possibilities.

Told you guys early on it's in the tune. Ford will have to fix it.

They can adjust fuel pressures and ignition timing to make it fire up in any situation.

They got close with their first engine calibration attempt, but it needs work.

I belive the OEPA has to certify new engine calibrations, so it might be a while before they fix this. The more stink you make about it through corporate Ford- the faster it'll get addressed.
