What’s up guys. Some of you might of seen my previous post of what is recommended for off road in Baja. One of the member's suggested taking extra tie rods, ball joints and a drive shaft, which I totally agree on. Although, a drive shaft is not an option or feels impractical to haul around. Some suggested getting a different truck which is kind of a ridiculous suggestion. So I’ve come to the conclusion of going with RPG with an entire suspension upgrade. I didn’t get the raptor to just be another road princess on the street. I want to take this bad boy out and do some jumps and make it to the beach and enjoy a little camping.

I have been looking into an RPG kit. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the bolt on front suspension kit and the stage 4 front/rear suspension kit and gen 2 RST18 recovery rack?

I just learned that fox has new 3.0live valve bypass’ for the 19’ and I’m pretty stoked. I have emailed the company but haven’t received a response as far as compatibility on the recovery rack and the shocks.

no one implied that you should BUY another truck. the suggestion was that you GO with another truck, as in, don't go alone. bring a friend.

In my opinion, the svc kit has much better geometry. this is also why it is what I run on my truck.

that being said, you certainly DO NOT have to buy a mid-travel kit to have a big boy Baja trip capable raptor. some 3.0s, Deavers, bump stops and skid plates will get you just about everywhere that you want to go without breaking as long as you don't drive like an A-hole.

you just aren't going to be able to do more than 25-30 mph through the San Felipe whoops. If that bothers you, doing 60 mph through them in your raptor will cost you 50-60K and if you want to do 80-85 mph through them in your raptor, it'll run you about 150K.

choose your own adventure.

I misunderstood I guess.

Any recommendations on the bump stop kits? SVC, RPG, etc.

I just received SVC’s bump stop kit, haven’t installed yet but it looks like they added a center mounting hole that I didn’t receive the special nut/washer for mounting. And the fox 2.0 bumpstops were also missing. So we’ll see how there customer service is.
