I've had it since day 1. I don't give a shit. It's a noise on cold start. Big deal...

Man people are soft these days.
Haha, just saw this. I hear you…I suppose life has softened me up a bit but I can’t stand when things don’t work the way they should.

Thankfully they were able to move me up ..bringing in the truck Monday when they open. Service advisor said he was familiar with the issues and like others on here, Ill get the truck back same day and await parts after they confirm things at the appointment.

As to the other post I agree seems like a small issue, but its becoming more prevalent and annoying during driving. Even my kids are asking what that noise is. Just sounds like my 80+k truck is broken ha. I look forward to some kinda fix.

kids. gotta love em. When my 3 were young all we could afford was driving vacations. We used to take them up to New Hampshire, climb half way up Mt. Washington (I'd give alternate piggyback rides) go to 6 Gun City, Santas Village, etc. It was always a lot of fun. One year, after maybe 3 consecutive years there, my middle kid, Amanda, said, Dad, I don't want to come back to NH. It's boring. I almost stopped on the road, opened the slding door of my Toyota Previa and said get the heck out, you ingrate. lol. Oh, she's still a handful.

Had mine in for other service and brought up the rattle TSB for my 2021. They wanted $900 to apply the TSB even though I have ESP Premium. Originally they said it was covered, then called back saying it wasn't. I guess there was a newer TSB and the actuator are also replaced along with the springs and no longer covered. I had actually picked up a set of the newer style replacement springs to install myself; just worried about the re-learn needed if the actuators are moved when replacing the springs. The more I think about it and the mixed results of a fix... I might just live with it. It's pronounced during cold start ups then goes away.

I took the truck in this morning on schedule. They are replacing the muffler and the back end of the exhaust is what the service advisor told me. They ordered the parts and are having me come back Thursday to install. I also had them do a break in oil change to full synthetic as I just hit 1k miles. Hopefully the parts solve the problem. It was rattling on and off on the drive home almost like a baffle or valve in the muffler is broken as described by some.

Truck is back after 1.5 days. My salesman put me in a new Bronco as a loner as all the service loaners were booked. They replaced the whole system starting with the muffler all the way back. Truck rattle is solved as of now. Drove it about 100 miles today, multiple stop/starts etc and its fixed. Fingers crossed its a long term solution, but it looks promising. I was very happy with how the dealer dealt with the issue. Now I can truly enjoy my new truck.

Glad to hear. After a similar fix, I now have a rattle elsewhere. Getting it looked at next week. I was happy with my free uber ride home until you said you get a loaner. I’ll have to ask about that.

This is what I'm afraid of. Still feel it is in the exhaust system? Maybe they didn't tighten things down enough? I had them check heat shields, welds, hangars , connection bolts etc. Whether they truly did or not is yet to be seen. I'm holding hope this fixes it. I don't want to resort to buying the AWE down the road..more money that shouldn't have to happen if Ford designed their system properly.

Yep, prior issue sounded like something was loose externally. Turns out that was the valve. With that fixed, it now sounds like something internal. I’ll report back when I learn more. In the meantime, enjoy your rattle free exhaust!
