exhaust cut out switch location

Everything you need comes with the cut out from DMH. Just check out their website.

Just to understand, you cannot use the "AUX" switch because that is throwing out a contant "ON" forcing the cutout to continually try to open. When the "AUX" switch is off, the Cutout would then be left in the open position?

With a "momentary" switch as you called it, the switch would send a brief signal to the cutout and have it go from Close to Open and then have no power. Next time you hit the switch it goes from Open to Close.

Am I close???

Very close indeed. Except that you actually need a 2 way rocker momentary or 2 separate momentary buttons as open and close uses different polarity.

Would a normal mufler shop be the place to handle this? What about any wiring involved? Difficulty level for the Novice?

Yes muffler shop can do this. You can't wire it properly if your a novice. You need to weld it in. Take the cord and splice it near the dashboard in order to have power then mount the switch somewhere.

here is my switch- it's under the steering wheel.
