I wish there was a way to modify one of the AUX switches so that it toggles like the DHM switch.... thus giving you the ability beyond ON/OFF so that you can gradually open the valve for varying degrees of open/close....

But you know what?

Back when I had my 2008 Z06 with dual DHM electric-cutouts, the first few days I played with them, I would vary the degree of opening and closing...

After that, whenever I ran the cutouts open, they were ALWAYS FULLY OPEN! Or closed.

I NEVER ran them halfway open...

I think when I install mine, I may actually wire it into one of the AUX switches and sacrifice the ability to vary the open/close amount... as I said, in the Corvette, I always ran them full open or full closed... so what's the big deal?

Thats exactly how i was with my cut-outs
I think i would be ok with it on a aux or i would use a flat pressure switch hidden

I don't know how you could use a toggle switch, it would burn the motor out constantly trying to open, and if you turned it off that would solve the burn out problem but how would you close it?

Wasnt birdman working on something so we can use one of the aux switches? I talked to him about it a few months back, it should be a lot cheaper than the hennessey version.

Ok what did you do to your vehicles that you need the exhaust cut off switch? And is this for stock exhaust cut off. I am basically lost on this so any info or links would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Jimbola,

I think you're confused... its not an exhaust Cut "OFF" switch... its and exhaust Cut "OUT" switch:

We removed our resonators and had this piece welded in place... by toggling a switch in the cabin, you can open and close that valve at will... basically, its like running straight pipes LOUD :)
