I started high school (trade school) in 1974. Very different world back then. There were 7 different trades: Automotive, Building Technology (my major), Electronics, Metallurgy, Mechanical Technology, and Photolithography. I was lucky that I found something I enjoyed, and found work in the construction industry for 35yrs.
I took automotive in high school as well and they did teach us entry level welding which was good. I too found something I like and it has carried on past high school and is nice to know while working on my Raptor in the garage.

I graduated HS in 2003 and we had building trades with all the sub categories as electric, carpentry, ECT .., physical drafting (CAD had just started to take off) along with all the stuff I mentioned earlier. I did a complete 180 and got a bachelor's in computer networking and have been working in IT for the US's largest copper mining company for 15 years.

Just got my Bed supports in that I ordered a year ago. Looks like they are starting to get to their back orders.
Glad to hear you received them. We found your message on here and dug your order out of our old system. Apologies on this...

My experience with Evil -
Im not talking trash just telling you what I have gone through.
I ordered a front Hellion and rear Banshee bumper for a Gen 1 on January 3rd 2024.I called to order since I wanted the custom option of no powdercoat, I was told 2-3 weeks. On April 30th since I had not received my order I called to see if I could change the order to a Gen 2 verison (I decided I was going to upgrade from my Gen 1 to a Gen 2 this year).
I was told by Doug this would not be a problem and they would change the order to a front Hellion and rear Heathon bumper since they were easier to manufacture and should ship in 2-3 weeks.
I have both called and emailed Doug every 3-4 weeks and been told "We Just need to pick them up from powder coat, they'll ship next week" for the last 20+ weeks.
At one point in September he told me they were ready, and because I really would have liked them for an upcoming Raptor Run we arranged that I was going to drive the 960 miles round trip to just finally have the GD things in my possession. I took a day off work and started the drive to Pahrump, 100 miles in, on the agreed day, Doug calls me and tells me he doesn't have the bumpers there and they are stuck in powdercoat and I soulg turn around.
I have emailed and spoken to him several times since then with continued promises of "They are back from powdercoat and will ship next week."
Now I am a patient man, this is helpful if you're in the NFA game. But after waiting 10+ months for a couple stupid bumpers I finally let Doug know I would like a refund. Before that Doug had been fairly responsive, after I let him know it went radio silent. I was finally left with no choice but to do a dispute with my CC company. This was almost instantly approved since getting absolutely nothing in 10 months is seen as abnomal.
Doug has been through a rough year with moving the shop from CA to NV, and he seems like a genuinely cool guy trying to keep building cool stuff for Raptors. I hope he gets through the back orders and can start moving forward. Unfortunately I also have to start moving forward with a new wait period at another company.
I hadn't posted anything for nearly a year hoping for a positive resolution but when I have to resort to a CC dispute it's obviously not going well.

Just a follow up as well to my previous post and drama with Evil ordering a rear bumper. While I like the aesthetics of the bumper it came with a dent in the plate that had to be there pre-powder coat as there was no sign of trauma, and given the plate thickness if it had happened in shipping the powder coat would have been chipped. The cutouts for the Baja Designs S2s are not very precise and frankly required me to butcher the right side to get the light even close to in. Specifically the holes are not precise, and the right side is shifted so far up it interferes with the top tube. Every part of this transaction has been a headache and I wish I had gone with Mazzulla, RPG or anyone else. I know Doug is trying but this was a complete waste of money for me.

I had to enlarge the holes so the hardware would actually fit through so I could mount the bumper to the truck. I also had to enlarge the holes for the park assist sensors, which never did sit flush. The bumper looked good but glad I made the switch to SVC’s where it all fit perfectly.
