People that think about suing over things like this have never been in a lawsuit before. Talking to the lawyer once about your case would cost you more than anything you would ever get from the Dealership. If you want to sue them you better get ready for $1500-2k a month for 12-18 months that you will just have a hope of recovering.
a forum is to share opinions and get peer's experiences.
I am gathering evidence, and as of now everything points in the direction that after 2 service appointment my oil was never changed. In my book "things like this" is called fraud.
Probably if everybody started making dealership accountable we would be getting a better service.
You don't have to sue. I'm reporting them ti the authorities including DMV since a dealership is DMV regulated.

I will create another thread to get this info: anybody know what oil our trucks leave the factory with? Has anybody tested their first oil change and willing to share the result?

I sent in the oil to blackstone, and the written report didn’t indicate specifically, so I called.
They told me the truck came with 5w20 in it, and likely a synth blend, but not definite on the latter. I questioned the 5w20 since it’s not called for, they insisted on it. I posted about it when I got the results back.

I have not put 5/20 back in the truck since the manual says either 5/30 or 0/30 in a synth blend or full synth.

Thanks, that helps

I have talked to Regional about service issues before and 2x in the past they have offered me additional warranty/service plans to make up for it. Better than nothing and honestly surprised they did it for me but we are buying the more expensive Fords.

I would definitely take others advice about just making the complaint but I wouldnt consider a lawsuit.

10000 mile service at a Ford store in Aurora, CO. As per their service receipt, they said they changed the oil (have a service plan bought through ford), rotated the tires and addressed the past recall issues. Just to make sure I marked the tires and when I checked they did not rotate the tires. I took it to Les Schwab and they did the rotation for free, just said they wanted to sell me the next set of tires! The lug nuts on the optional wheels are very poor quality so I replaced them. This may have been the reason that they did not want to rotate the tires (they also did not rotate the tire when the truck was in for the 5000 service WTF!!). Lastly, I did check the oil and it was new and clean, they did fail to reset the oil life indicator though!. I did have a hard discussion with the service adviser after the issues and I will give that store one more shot!

Where do you get the name and number of the regional Ford Service Manager?

Thanks!!

I’d call the district Ford Rep and have a long conversation with him followed by a letter to Ford letting them know about your experience with this Dealership and their offers after getting caught. Trust me Ford will not be happy. Let them know you talked to the District Rep also, they’ll be interested in what he did about the situation.
That’s good advice. It may be due to incompetence rather than fraud, but either way it sucks. I worked for an OEM for 22 years and had day-to-day dealer contact. Best thing to do is work your up through the chain of command (at the dealership) and you should be able to get to the bottom of it. If not, contact the Rep. & let the rep know you want his/her mgmt to know what’s going on (that gets his/her attn. ) Squeaky wheel gets the grease!
