because its an actual stick that you move, if it was a button like the Mercedes, I wouldn’t want it either.

Whats the difference? It's all computer controlled whether a button or a switch, both are just making/breaking a circuit and invisible electrons are doing the work.

Very true and I agree. But I think many people still want something to move, turn or select to know they have placed the order so to speak. After doing things like this for years it’s hard for many to not have that feedback. I know even the dials in our trucks are digital. I for one like a lot of tech. But properly appointed switches and dials still can better serve in many cases.
