Because not everyone is you is why. Some people don’t have time or aren’t experienced in detailing or could be kids or old and could use the help of not destroying their vehicle. I could wash my truck with a firefighter hose if I just stand back half a football pitch, idk why everyone doesn’t do that right? ..... Like you can care about your vehicle and wash it with a pressure washer ha

A fire hose would not hurt a vehicle whatsoever, it's just like your garden hose pressure wise.

Since you are claiming ignorance for others- here, learn from me and spread knowledge to others.
-Using a pressure washing is not necessary to wash a car.
-Using a pressure washer will not give you better results than washing by hand.
-Using a pressure washer is more work than a sponge and bucket.
-Using a pressure washer takes more time than a sponge and bucket.
-Using a pressure washer costs more than a sponge and bucket.
-Using a pressure washer is more more damaging to our environment.

I'm not against pressure washing either. I like it. It's quite fun and satisfying to do. I have a nice pressure washer and all the attachments and have spent hours running it. I've never approached any of my vehicles with it though. There is no need for it. I don't have mold that needs removed from my vehicles.

I guess I can see some of you guys in the Pacific NW needing it to take off mold and mildew now that I think about it.

Using a pressure washer to wash a vehicle does make a difference in keeping your paint looking nice. The extra pressure removes more dirt and grit from the paint during the pre-rinse, which means that the dirt and grit is not getting rubbed on your paint with a sponge, or other wash media. Rubbing dirt and grit into your paint results in fine scratches that show up as swirls, and can even result in bigger scratches.

It is not a matter of one or the other, a pressure washer or a sponge/bucket. Both are used in a proper wash. The pre-rinse is very important, and a pressure washer will remove more than a garden hose.

The new Adam's Pressure Washer 2.0 is electric, so it is more environmentally friendly than a gas pressure washer, and the auto start-stop conserves energy since the motor is not running the entire time, and it also prolongs the life of the pump.

  • Not sure if this thread is still going much, but I just wanted to throw out there that I just bought Adam's Pressure Washer 2.0 on sale during 4th of July and it has been great! I washed my truck and my motorcycle with it and it made the whole process really easy. It’s great being a manageable pressure so you don’t hurt anything including the decals, but still washes the truck off nicely. @AdamsPolishes

Glad to hear that the new pressure washer is working well for you! Thanks for your business!

I purchased one as well... and they forgot to send it to me with a large shipment. It’s out for delivery as I type. It’s a good thing that they have great customer service.

I have a powerful gas washer and my daughter used the wrong setting and took paint off her vehicle. I figured I would buy a dedicated washer just for the vehicles. Will be using with an MTM Hydro 22.2. I’m excited to try out the new Mega Foam as well.

Thanks for the order, sorry that the shipping was delayed. Have you had a chance to use it yet? Let us know how it worked for you.

I had a chance to use the 2.0 presssure washer this morning with the new Mega Foam. The results are good, rich thick foam. Both will be a nice addition to the garage.

Got turned on to the home washing of vehicles by OG. If you don't touch the vehicle you don't really get it clean. The prerinse foam cannon and then 2 bucket system seems to achieve the best results. At least for me. Although I respect other techniques.

I've got a sun joe. added a 50 foot hose and a foam cannon.

I guess that it could get more convenient if I paid like 700 more.

But I just don't get it. this thing does great. deck, house, truck. Any more power and I wouldn't want to wash a vehicle with it anyhow.

and yeah, I don't get the just use a bucket guy up above. this thing is fast enough and plenty good.
