I was thinking of doing it not nessasaraly for the extra droop but more for the additional load capacity. And yes I’d have to do limit straps to protect the stock shocks and probably look at the longer brake lines To cover my ass. Im about the same of 350-450 pounds all the time, plus gear if going out of town. The enclosed trailer I use to transport my side by side is around 7500lbs loaded.

Makes sense, so your planning to run the icons in the third setting?

I have stainless lines everywhere with the R1 BBK and plan to buy the 2” longer lines for the rear as well just in case I go to the third setting with the Icons. Then I will have eliminated all the rubber lines in my truck.

That sounds really heavy for a SXS is it a toy hauler as well?

This truly is the beauty of the Icon RXT!

Really liking my Gen2 supercab but the stance isn't quite right without a cargo. After reading this thread I realized I need to upgrade springs and leaf springs ! Then I started thinking. 'After installing rear leaf lift and getting the rear spring rate exactly right, It would be great to adjust the rear height with a drop shackle.' This reminded me of a 2wd street truck that had adjustable drop shackles. Similar to SK-5004__62758.1543436051.jpg

Anyone seen a 3 level adjustable drop shackle built for off road or towing use ??

I’m thinking about the third setting with a drop shackle for the added weight capacity (but I don’t want it to ride like 1Ton either), and thinking about setting 2 with standard length shackle. I’ll probably start with level 2 and see how it does with the trailer and if needed I’ll add the leaf back in for option three, order new u-bolts and a drop shackle, and get limit straps (haven’t looked for these yet).

Like you said that’s the beauty of the Icon, you can change it.

It’s an enclosed trailer insulated and has a 40k BTU furnace, 4200lbs dry. Side by side is 2300 loaded for a trip plus other gear in the trailer. I have a picture with stock suspension and trailer hooked up, not sure I’m brave enough to post it on here though.

Have you got a build thread I want to see yours after you get the eibachs up front and option 2 of the Icons installed. I’d ask for wheel well measurements but people might start dictating where to measure from. I’d like mine to have a rake after I swap springs.

I will get measurements for you, but I’m going a different route for the shocks.(rears are still in the box)
Trying to figure out how to protect them from all this damn salt, that creates havoc on everything. So far I have ceramic coated the shocks and will be using Boeshield T9 and will be spraying the Icons with Amsoil MPHD same as my deavers.

Truck currently has 1.5” RPG Collars.

So i have been following this thread and the references to Eibach Springs, Geisers, Deavers and Icons. Can someone help me understand the differences? I know I am opening myself up to criticism here but I'm a Newb when it comes this stuff but I wanna learn which is why I love this forum.

Hoping to the proud owner of new Raptor soon. Mine will likely be a pavement princess since there are limited off road options here in DC/MD/VA. However I love driving, don't mind long distance and I am exited to travel and join some of the events I see offered on this site. When I do get mine I want a smooth ride and the rear to be planted.
