If you think it's not happening try to order a torque converter and find out how long the wait is.
I was simply checking to see if anyone else other than the 2 I know personally had the same experience.
I think I'll hold on to my DD but I'm super excited to get my new raptor sometime between right now and the 20th. I had a 2012 and I loved it

wonder if the wait for a torque converter is due to most of them going to new trannys being installed by ford when building new trucks. no issues here so far in about 2700 miles. i don't baby it either. did a kam/idle relearn and reset @ 1500 miles when i changed to full synthetic. i get a few hard shifts in sport mode but way smoother then when it was brand new. if it brakes i'll just rent a truck while it is in the shop. considering i have only had to rent a truck 2x in 10 years i'm not worried about a second dd.

now the fragile windshield is another thing. my 14 cracked from a rock chip in the first few months of owning it. had it replaced and got nicks but never a crack again. got a chip/crack yesterday on the way home. gonna see if i can get it fixed or will just get it replaced with aftermarket.

also we are simi local to each other. wanna take it to cal city for brake in when u get it?

Haven't seen any come in my dealership yet. Typically as mentioned above, new vehicles with new technology typically have back ordered parts because of production not because of issues.

How do you do the relearn and reset?

kam reset.
when the truck is cold.( set for longer then 6 hrs) disconnect the battery negative side first then positive.

put a shop towel under the connections to prevent touching.

turn on the headlights for 1 min or so. no they should't work it is for draining the power only. ( you could use the jump wire method here too, or touch the positive and negative together as long as they are both disconnected from the battery. the point is to drain the system.)

connect the battery positive side first then negative.

from here down is very important. the idle relearn is critical for proper air and fuel ratio. misfires can happen if the truck is not done right. it also fixes misfires and hard / erratic shifts in the tranny.

start the truck with headlights, radio and ac off.

let idle for 15 min.

turn on ac, headlight, and radio. and idle 5 min.

put it in drive and hold the brake and idle for 5 min or so. please make sure the auto start stop is off too.

drive the truck as you normally would. ( use sport mode for better learning)

couple links for better understanding.

several different ways and thoughts on how to do it. i use my method. it works the same for my trucks and for my cars lol.
