Ducati awesome review. Keep it coming. That truck of yours is turning into a real monster. I like where you put the ICOM brain, seems like a safer place to put it than under the rear seat.

I agree, I love this stuff. Gives me some ideas for future upgrades.

Don't stop! I've been sub'd to this thread from the beginning. I can't think of a single thing I'd do different. Once I feel like upgrading, I may just make a trip to TX for the same thing since I don't know of any equivalent shops in OK.

Keep it up! I've been checking this thread daily. I'm really interested in your head unit and factory interface device.

okay, good, thanks for the response. just wanted to make sure this was useful to folks. trying some stuff like the 8" mid subs that I don't think I've seen done before.

one of the big issues we were hitting was the front camera with the Kenwood setup. we knew the rear would work, but the front is carried on a different bus. apparently my stereo guys work pretty close with navtech, and they have a way to patch between the front camera and the kenwood system with full control. can't wait to see that working.

also, on the OBD stuff, there are like 50 different gauges to choose from, it's pretty cool stuff, probably endup killing myself playing with it instead of paying attention to the road.

sub box is being built tomorrow and now that they modified the rear doors the 8's should go in as well. they had to cut some sheet metal, but then rebraced it with custom cut pieces to keep the integrity of the rear door frame.

more to come.

New day, more progress.

First, the Amp is done, mounted and wired. we did have to use a couple of risers to keep it level as the floor fades away.

Next, the stainless mount was linexed and bolted to the bed rear wall. it can be removed and capped when I'm not using it. We lined it up with the bed cage wall to keep it looking good:

finally the ZR800 mounts are almost done. the wood frames are cut and beveled to look more natural where they are mounting. You can see from the template pic just how far we moved the speaker to give it room. the entire thing is covered in leather and will have a black grill on it to match the front. the entire door is road killed so they should hit pretty hard.

probably about a day from being done completely.

Peter,
Do you think there is a possibility of the antenna flopping around and breaking your rear window when you get aggressive off road?
