Hes just giving you valid information. Do what you will with “literally next to nothing” but if it knocks out all of your parking lights, you’ll know the issue.

I understand completely. Wasnt saying anything against what Tech had given me. I was just going off information from f150forum users who have tested with success and measured everything properly and done the install. I certainly like to measure twice before i cut into anything, especially electrical stuff. If there are any issues, ill go the route Jarhead suggested and pick up this harness.

Splice the purple with white stripe from the headlight socket

Not sure this is of help, but you can also wire the backlight to an upfitter as well to pick when its on/off. Thats what I did in past for LP4's, and what I plan to do for the time being on my '24. If I end up needing another upfitter, I can always change that, but for now only using 5 (including the backlighting), and only planned addition is maybe a radio.
