Received my heating element from Tasca but of course they sent the wrong one - replacement for the back instead of the bottom of the seat. They are the ones that changed the order to the "correct" part number for the VIN. Will have to get the right one now, the saga continues.
I ordered the original part number about a month ago. Week later got same email, and they would get the correct one for my vin. Today, get email saying part is back ordered, order canceled.

Anyone know that application for the original part #? As in what F'ing truck it's supposed to fit? Maybe a Lariat? Can you even order a part from Tasca without giving a vin?

My truck sold last week so I didn't get to the end of this saga. Already miss it, still an amazing machine even with the little problems it had. Honestly, the lack of parts availability on common items like the heated seat element is what appalled me most. Cars break, its normal. You go buy parts and repair. But if you cant fix something for a year because parts are not available, that is unacceptable to me. I will be back in the future in another Raptor when I have better use for it.

Mine just failed on the driver's side. (2019) Not sure if it is recent or not, weather just finally got cold enough to care. The dealer issues that everyone is having doesn't make it sound promising. I had them reattach my seat covers as they had come loose, do you think there is any chance a wire got disconnected and where to look for the heater wires? I am assuming that I will be taking it in, but it is such a PIA with the distance and quality of dealers in my area. Seems to be an ongoing issue, how are the repairs holding up?

Add another to the pile my drivers failed. Are you guys sure that its a element type for those with heated/cooled seats? i thought the TED device does the heating and cooling? Mine is a late build 18' I hooked up forscan and ran the module and didnt get any errors but in live data sure as shit no temp rise on the drivers side.

This is what my last dealer did, hooked it up to the scanner, everything checked out, they told me it was "fixed". Heater still didn't work.

I've ordered a replacement heating coil twice now, both times cancelled, not in stock. That was Tasca. Anyone had any luck hunting one up?

ya everything works in my truck including lights etc just wont heat up. even the module clears with no trouble codes when cycled with forscan. I still struggle with the actual parts in the seat. i see conflicting information out there. some solutions are just replace one or more of the TED blower motors as they say they heat and cool. Some say its a heating coil for the seat and the blower is only for cooling? Short of taking the seat apart im at a loss. want to order the parts before i tear it down. i also struggle to find the seat control module under the passenger seat lol. there an older thread where a ground pin gets cooked but not sure if thats valid on a 18' and exactly where the damn module is. i cant see it.

Ive been scouring for days trying to sort it out. its been cold in NC lmao. I think as a group we can get a realistic definitive solution. from what i see its an issue and will be as these gen 2 begin to age. thanks all who have contributed thus far.
