Honestly, it'll be rare, I live in Louisiana.. I bought truck because I needed one and also wanted the most unique truck, lol. I did see thread on someone tearing off a cutout before Iiinstalled mine

Yup that was probably my thread! My cutout lasted about 5 maybe 6 months before the valve starting rattling and the motor got destroyed stripped and broke the shaft for the gears and was hanging on by the wire ad the way I installed the cutout the motor was tucked way up by the cab so I know nothing was hitting it off road! You shouldn't have anything to worry about with the gate style valve that is an awesome design and should work amazingly. But my opinion these are for street cars and trucks and should last you a long time cause like you said you don't go off road a lot! But yea after mine got destroyed I just dumped it right after the catalytic converters no mufflers or anything so it's always LOUD!

I bet it was your thread! I've had DMH and QTP and this by far is best and fastest sealing cutout I've owned. I think it's a truck cutout, I don't think it could have fit on my GTO, but who knows. It takes up less room than I thought, but it's still damn near a perfect fit for the Raptor. I love it so far, time will tell how long the motor lasts and the customer care, but it's GOT TO BE BETTER than DMH!! :)
