She has also taken a liking to the Shelby's and has given the green light as long as it brings in $10k/yr on Turo. But that's a whole new thread.

I didn’t even know that was a thing- had to google it.
No f’ing way. No f’ing how.

I wouldn’t rent out my lawnmower, let alone my car.

You know the difference between a rental car and a four-wheel drive?

A rental’ll go anywhere.

Ha! I'm with you. Very scary thought.

Shelby's just aren't worth the uncharge. $117k for a $65k truck with about $15k worth of upgrades. And they don't hold their value on the used market.

As for Turo, I don’t know how people do it. I rented an M6 for 10 days while our F-250 went to SEMA. It was a super nice car, but I'm a car guy who's owned M cars previously. I can't imagine how anyone could trust just anybody with a car like that.

Turn must have a good insurance option. Look at Turo in LA and all the Lambos and Porsche's. Even a couple of Rolls.

The renter pays for the insurance, for sure. But still...unless you're running a little micro-fleet and only own the cars for investment/cash flow, it doesn't make sense.

It is possible I was mistaken about the block in the production car. The Le Mans cars had billet blocks and cranks.

Odd that you can't find part numbers for the Ford GT block and heads, though. The rotating assembly is there but doesn't appear available for sale.

It's "possible" that you were mistaken? Everything you post must be "mistaken" then, because you're always wrong and in denial of the facts.

You guys really need to calm down.

Says the guy who refuses to show the vehicle that he owns and trolls every Gen II thread to stir up trouble. You are the one who needs to "calm down"...as in get a life and stop shit talking and trolling.

Agreed. The wife was trolling Turo and was thinking of how to make easy $$ for both her Escalade and my screw. I immediately told her she needed to stop thinking.
