How funny is it that the guy that can definitely pay the current R market price and more, gets an R for less than MSRP.
Well he did say a couple times in the clip that he only drives Ford trucks. There's a lot of Rock fanboys and fangirls that will buy a Ford just because of that. It's worth it to Ford to compensate him with a lower price.

OP, I want an R but for the life of me I can't figure out why I want it over a TRX. I had a pretty loaded TRX build at invoice just had to order and wait but couldn't pull the trigger and bought a 23 37pp instead for basically the same price. It must be the exclusivity of the R. I see a TRX every day pretty much and almost never an R. They're very similar and nearly $50k apart on price. I definitely like the raptor exterior styling much better and color choices. RAM interior I like better.

Hard to predict future values but I would assume a TRX at invoice will likely be a better deal down the road than an R at $30-$50k over sticker. But that's my opinion, not a fact.

totally disagree.. i think the raptor will be worth MUCH more in the future than a similar TRX..

i think theres more to it than just the exclusivity.. its a ford raptor, theyve always done really well, better than most vehicles when it comes to depreciation..

i didnt buy my truck for that reason, i bought it because i always wanted raptors since they came out... and i still do. i wouldnt own a TRX personally, but thats my opinion..

Most people drive right by a TRX and don’t even realized they’ve seen something special.
On the flipside, even non-car people recognize Raptors.
You’re not wrong. From a distance the standard Rebel and the TRX have similar shape. Hard to believe a 700hp truck on 35’s can almost be a sleeper.

There was a Canadian window stickers posted on the RAM-TRX website and the new MSRP for the TRX looks like it equates to $103k, which is a $7k jump. Looks like Ram is pushing for R prices.
On the flip side - I managed to lock in an allocation at my local dealer yesterday. I'm not completely happy about it, but I got it for $10k over MSRP and is in production right now. I found it by looking at the Ford website truck builder and just checked it every day. I also called all of the dealers within 500 miles to see if they were spoken for, with 3 days of this, I found one that wasn't and convinced them that i wasn't going to pay stupidly for this truck and that they needed to sell it to me. (even though I'm feeling a bit dumb for $10k). The game plan is to flip this into a 24 when the banks open, since I found two dealers in my area that are ordering at MSRP. You know there will be a leadtime.

Ram decided to not only match the R price, but go right on by with it.

Base price is now $95,000. My 2021’s base price was $70,325. I love my truck, but a 2024 TRX is not $25,000 nicer than my 2021!
