I had a person park right next to my truck, blocking my door when there were other open spaces. I climbed over the console from the passenger side to leave. I left a nice note on their windshield but I doubt they cared.

So I think person driving the Raptor that started this thread was being very inconsiderate(regardless if the lot is not full). But I also think the person that parked next to your ruby red Raptor is being a jerk too. No reason to park that close to you when you are in your lines. I could maybe see it if the lot was packed and the person next to them was over their lines forcing them to squeeze in. But I am guessing that wasn’t the case here.

I’ll always try to get an end of the row spot with the curb on my right side so that if the person that parks on my left doesn’t have a passenger, I have a better chance coming out dent free. But other than that, I just take my chances and try not to worry about it too much.

How about people mind their own business? not all handicaps are immediately recognizable and as much as it may irk you (or me) best not to be the parking lot ranger hero and go on your merry way.

Probably not bad advice, but we all make heat of the moment decisions and I let the question fly. I think it had a lot to do with the very rapid pace that she was walking and the ease with which she lifted two 40 lb bags while talking on her cell. I use to be a social working many moons ago before continuing my education, so helping/protecting others that are in need who may not be able to represent themselves still lingers within me. I personally do not like confrontation, so there was no personal joy, or gain, in confronting her.

I have to be honest here, I take two all the time as I'm handicapped parking and need extra room. If it's available I take two there small. They have been reducing space sizes to accommodate more spaces.

If I pay $75K for a truck, I’m gonna double park and I always do....but I park in left field around no one else and walk. Around the busy shopping seasons we take the helicopter and only hit the hot spots like Target and Walmart on the Northside that have helipads.

There's a similar thread on f150forum.com called "********* of the day".

I always park way down yonder on the chattahoochie and take up two spots, I never park close to any store and douchbag it. I have seen many idiots park close and douchbag it. I have these tickets to hand out in case of infraction. Lol

Quite a few of you had some greats points. If there is nothing up close with enough room I park way out and walk. I can park in the handicap spot thanks to how Texas treats it’s DV’s, but I feel guilty for parking in the spot knowing I can still walk. It also depends on the place. Every guy I work with takes a spot and and 1/2 and it keeps going down the line. We all have an understanding and no one wants door dings. It doesn’t matter since we are the only ones allowed to park there. I’ll take a picture next time I’m at work

My pet peeve is when an age old problem such as this can garner page after page of replies.
