I was wondering if there are any advantages to buying the Ford Extended warranty right away or are you just as well to wait until the bumper to bumper is nearing it's end?

Thanks

there’s a hit if your over 12 months / 12k after that and within 3/36 warranty it stays the same ...check out prices by flood ford

I think the only advantage is if you buy the Extended Warranty when you buy your new truck, you can combine it with your finance amount. What I did before is I show the dealer the flood ford quote and they actually matched it.

My dealer that I bought my Explorer ST from suggested the Flood Ford warranty didnt include the same things even though both were the premium care warranties. The Raptor dealer didn't even ask me further than yes or no if I wanted one. Is the Flood Ford one the same, nothing is left out vs buying at your local dealer?

They are both Ford corporate product just like truck no difference.

Advantage $100 savings and rental car coverage during factory warranty period.

Disadvantage no coverage besides rental car until 3 years or 36k miles. If you sell the vehicle or it is totaled they prorate based on date of purchase. Extra costs for financing for period of truck. So $$ for interest rate based on length financed.

Best advice by with cash right before factory warranty runs out; generally Flood or Ziegler provide best price online.

I got one through GIECO. It was more compelling to get than the ford one and its included in my month car insurance payments. Only limits were you have to be the original owner and you need to add the coverage before 15k miles.

Also not a factory warranty I recommend Ford flood or Ziegler as well. Functions like the factory warranty and can go up to 8yr 150,000 miles.

I had a factory warranty on my old raptor. Waste of money IMHO. As long as parts are covered and I don't have to pay for anything, what's the difference? And unless you're going to keep it for 8 years or 150K miles, you're just tossing money away. Be realistic on how long you're going to keep it and plan accordingly.

The new raptor has not shown to be so reliable, I would be worried about owning this truck without a warranty. Additionally you can always cancel it when you sell the truck and they will prorate it and mail you back a check peace of mind is worth the money to me.

Just my opinion here
I’ve had warranties in the past with Ford and BMW.
Warranty is worthless if the dealership doesn’t think there is a problem and just write off the problems as “normal” or “not found”
Also if the dealership can’t fix the problem.
Frustrating
Out of principle, I turn down every warranty from now on down.
