LOL. You think anything off the lot is going to be below MSRP? It is above MSRP but several $1000s below what everyone else is charging. Dealers arent dumb. They know the market. Id rather have one this weekend than wait several months just to save $5k.

I think its very reasonable considering availability and the market. The kicker will be what theyll give me for my 2022 Ram 3500 with 978 miles... If its low, ill sell on one of the FB groups...

Heres the Raptor build:

35" White paint
Equipment Group 801A High
Moonroof & Tailgate
Pro Power Onboard
Graphics Package
Carbon Fiber
Spray in liner
17" forged wheels
So you’re paying ADM and it’s just a 35 package.. LOL

At what point is "this market" actually this market? I got extremely lucky and paid MSRP for a Raptor I stumbled upon at a small dealer last fall, but almost every single car buyer in 2022 has not been as fortunate. The truth it that the average price of EVERY new car sold this year to date has sold for 9.9% OVER the MSRP - yes, people are paying over MSRP for Hyundais, Toyotas, Hondas, and every other econobox you can imagine. And while I agree that isn't ideal, the alternative is buying a used car that's gone up approximately ~35% since this time last year.

While I appreciate your view that paying ADM isn't the best practice, the fact of the matter is that's what the current market dictates. The instances of those paying MSRP are indeed the exception, not the rule.
Sorry but your statement of “EVERY” is incorrect. As I said previously there are dealers of other manufacturers that are actually still giving discounts under invoice. Including some RAM dealers HEAVILY discounting the comparable TRX. At Ford dealers I’d say your statement is true even AFTER their CEO made a statement against price gouging. We all know that was a load of bologna.

It's the average of every car sold. This was in an attempt to indicate that the perceived market is actually the true market, at least for now. I did not say that EVERY car sells for over MSRP.

Interestingly though, Jeep is the worst 'offender'. Wranglers and Gladiators combine to sell for well beyond 20% over MSRP. That's pretty awful...

Interesting stats because I had a Rubicon on order last month for 5% under invoice and could name 10 Jeep dealers throughout the US giving discounts. Again proving my point that you need to look around before you buy.

I purchased my JLU Rubicon for 8.5% under invoice and can name 10 dealers as well.

People are just too lazy to spend 10 minutes Googling, so instead they pontificate on forums acting like you can’t buy anything for MSRP let alone under.

Pathetic really.

I concur. I can custom order a 392 Wrangler at 4% under invoice.

Google is your friend. It’s so easy today thanks to the interweb. Phoning individual dealers is in the past.

I've read on this forum about Ram dealers Heavily discounting TRXs but that's not happening in my area. In fact they have ADMs. If they were heavily discounted I'd probably own one and I've only owned Ford trucks in the last 40 years.

Just to be contrary, but, it would seem those of you who are getting vehicles cheaper (below invoice/MSRP/whatever it is called) would rather have fewer folks knowing how to find those deals. Not necessarily giving them a hard time for paying more.

I would rather wait. It isn’t the dealers that are dumb it’s the people paying the ADM. Dealers from other manufacturers are still offering discounts. Those are the ones who know how to keep customers. The ones not saying “in this market” to justify ripping off customers.
You want to pay that to feel good about yourself or to show off to your friends and family then that’s you. Enjoy.
Back in October I agreed to pay 5k for a 37. Some members here advised me to wait (just like you) and even caled people like me idiots because the prices will crush and the dealers lots going to overflow with Raptors by this summer.
None of that happend. Just the price increase is $ 4180 since than. I would be still waiting, instead my 22R37 is produced and I am waiting for delivery
