Well it's not a customers truck it's mine. I started with an ext cab ecoboost and what I have now is a Ecoboost powered raptor w/ the correct wheel base minus the Raptor offroad mode. Here are some of the current specs-

35" Generals
4.88 Gears

Well I was going to ask, but seems it would not be such a fair race. Stock Raptor 6.2 with 35" tires and 4.10 gears.
Race anyhow and let us know how EB does ?

Frickin awesome. I would've done an Ecoboost if it'd been an option. I love V8s but a turbo direct-injection motor would be damn interesting to me. Wish they'd made it straight-6 though.

what difference would straight 6 make? It'd share about as much in common with the old pushrod straight 6 as the new modular 5.0 shares with the pushrod 5.0....pretty much nothing.

I'm allllllll about the earthquake inducing sound of my 6.2's exhaust but, with the near equal performance the EB makes compared to a 6.2 and the weight savings over the front end, I could deal with the sound of the EB. Not too mention what some tuning would do afterwards.

Can't wait till Ford invents an Ecoboost 6.2 V8 - then many of us would be itching to get one :)

Not enough to justify it I'm sure. They're smooth (perfectly primary+second balance without shafts). But I'm sure the packaging of a V6 and ability to put it in multiple platforms make this a moot point.

ECO boost a V8 and now we are talking. BMW with their 4.4L twins make 555 HP and 500 tq. While still getting 12/17 mpgs. The XM5 weights 5400lbs and does 4.5 sec 0-60. I know they can get "tuned" at the dealership for a little extra without any warranty issues.

Nothing wrong with this set up at all, but if ford is going to put a turbo'd motor in a raptor..... GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!

Those 4.88's are going to make this a very quick truck.
