The only trouble with cutting the exhaust on this one is that it splits the outlet around the spare tire, unlike gen 1 where both outlets went to the same side. So, you're either gonna dump it and have it exiting right into the spare (assuming you keep the spare underneath), or you cut it right after the muffler and immediately dump it (this might require another mount).

Oh, wait. We're idiots.

The lowest point on the rear is the hitch, which is standard on the Raptor and not the FX4. That's why the difference. Has nothing to do with the tailpipes.

Are the exhaust tips welded to the exhaust? If they're just attached with screws then the best solution might be to just take them off if you're worried about it.

On the Gen2 there are exhaust cutouts in the bumper too, so removing them without replacing the bumper will leave two empty half round cutouts.

Mount some Rigid lights in those holes by God!!!

Well if removing them for the soul purpose of increasing departure angle, (not taking hitch into account) than that definitely defeats the purpose haha. But good idea none-the-less.

Seams like a slash cut tip moved back about an inch would put the tips above the lowest point of the hitch.
