i plan on doing the same thing, but I'm using a metallic gray like the flares and bumpers and emblems.

So it looks like they have a new product out called smoke. Apparently it acts more like a tint... It keeps it's translucency and gets darker with each progressive coat.

I may try to apply it to the ford emblem. May help with the harsh transition from the black to the chrome.

There was a question on durability. I'll be honest. I am not expecting a whole lot there. The stuff is basically sprayable rubber. However... How often do you touch the rear emblem of the truck? Once a week for washing?

Worst case scenario... Just peel it of and do it again.

I have heard stories of folks that have used it on their grilles and wheels and have had gone well beyond 6 months without a touch up.

I think cineSLR is one of them.
