Decided to do something about the only piece of exterior chrome on our trucks

I just did the same to mine a few days ago as well. It's a blue screw. I also did the wheels, skid plate and rear fender wells.

Whats needed now is a custom emblem to finish it off.

Had just done this but took it off because I used a blow dryer to dry it faster and it was a bit too fast and shrunk it, but it looked great.
I'm going to spray all the chrome and cover the decal with this one, might be gay but hey I like it.
For now.
Here's a pic of the decal but it is too big and the company is sending me out a new one.
I'll throw up pics when done.
Also have it on the steering wheel.

I took a couple of pics as I was doing some of it. I'll have to take a few more when I get a chance. I don't want to hijack so I'll start a new thread and put up the ones I've got for now.

So there has to be some folks out there that don't like it. I am curious to get your feedback.

I am not sure that I am sold on the black and the chrome. Do you think it draws more attention to the chrome emblem, or does it, in fact, tone the chrome down?

I also never noticed the chrome to begin with.

Most likely it'll be that way. If something ever happens to the plastic dip, it can be removed and the decal will be fine and just re-do the plastic dip.

I really don't mind the chrome ether but would like to find a real custom emblem for the back, because the embossed ford always shows when an overlay is used.
