So go get your Gen1 back, modify your Gen2, or change what you're doing. I mean, I get what you're saying, but if you bought a Gen2 to have a large payload, you bought the wrong truck.

Was hoping I’d get this response. Some of us still use it as a truck, and I bought it with the expectation that I could use it EXACTLY how I used my Gen1...which is why I’m now looking for options on how to make that happen. If you got something productive to add, great. If not get the **** out

I'm sorry but why would you buy a completely different truck but expect to be able to use it "EXACTLY" how you used an older truck? I actually came to this thread and gave you something productive (suggesting to get Icon springs) but all you want to do is complain about how it "blows" that your new truck isn't the same as your old one. I then gave you even more productive life advice but you still don't want to hear it. You've obviously already made up your mind on either what you're going to do or to just be an insufferable **** so maybe you can do us all a favor and just ****.

Easy new guy. For a truck that has the same payload, YES i did expect to be able to use my new truck EXACTLY as my GEN1. I don't need your internet life advice, I've done ok without it all these years. I asked a question, which some have answered, and expressed discontent that the rear of these trucks are softer than the previous version, which they are.

I have been considering the +3 deavers because I have a bed rack with two spare tires, 5 gallon fuel tank, tool box, and eventually 5 gallon air tank and it sags. I was told the +2 will keep stock height but with weight will still lower so was recommended to get the +3 which will lift it a little but with weight will go back to stock height. I am also considering eibach springs up front to get rid of the rake but my eyes are bigger than my wallet lol.

Geisers on the front. Deaver plus 4 hd on the back. Maintains factory look, but up 2 inches. Very workable solution. And a set of hydraulic bump stops that you can adjust for load if you want to really do it

I’m running the Icons Stage 2 setup with my RTT/Rack + gear and it holds almost level with that set up. It’s roughly around 500+- lbs total weight. I went with ICON due to its adjustable settings so if I ever plan on carrying more load/towing I can always add a spring. Hope this helps!

The Icon/Deavers are great solution to most of us with leveling kits. I personally use a Roadmaster Active Suspension kit. My raptor has a 2.5” leveling kit up front and instead of adding a 1” to the rear I opted for the RAS kit is about 1/3 the cost of new springs, takes about one hour to install, you can dial it to what whatever your needs are and won’t void your warranty (according to my dealer)

I have a Gen 1 but would suggest Deaver +3 - I currently have +2 And when loaded it isn't enough - 500 or so extra pounds + 140LBS shell. (SVC Bump stop helps a great deal) I will soon be finished with more upgrades / weight - My needs have changed from when I originally purchased this truck

In the bed -
(2) group 31 Batteries Lithium Ion
3000 watt inverter
5' bed box / sliding drawers
3 to 3.5 gallon air tank under bed setup probably using 4" or 6" stainless pipe
15 to 20 gallon stainless reserve gas tank under bed
Extra tire / rim
Jack
All this + 300 lbs of gear

Heavy Boat

I would consider the +3 HDs with a drop shackle to get you back to stock height. sounds like you have at least 500LB in the bed with everything. Then when you go upgrade your front springs you can remove the drop shackle and be level.

that or the Option 2 or 3 icon. Those will all raise the rear and with weight in it they will settle back down.

Appreciate it. I won't ever mess with the front suspension, but it sounds like I'm gonna need +2 HD at the bare minimum and possibly the +3 HD. It's right at 500lbs for an everyday load, plus when I tow my boat (about 300lb tongue weight).
