This is the last year until 2016 and in 2016 it will not be the raptor as we now know it.

2013 is the last production year? I've heard some rumors of this... Well I guess I could keep mine until 2016 instead of 2014.. I've just been on my every 2 yr kick.

Ford did the same thing with the lightning. When I bought mine in 04 they tried to sell me a preferred customer spot for the first new lightning to come out in 06. Think it was about. A grand. I did not go for it. They had a few teaser pics out for the new generation lightning but I think that was about it. But there are way more raptors built than there were lightnings.

I was just pointing out that he started the paragraph with that statement then proceeded to state an investment in another vehicle was a good idea.

But now that I reread it maybe he was just talking about the Raptor. What the Hell I don't know who cares. It's all just words on page that creates a conversation. We could talk til were out of breath and then we'll stop to breathe and that's the place we find peace sometimes.

Yeah something like that.

Yeah, I was just saying some want small build numbers because of a diminished value, and from that standpoint, the Raptor wouldnt really be a good investment anyway. I would not invest in ANY car, period. Every penny I have goes back into my business, as bidding capacity=more work, bigger jobs, and if you make 10% profit (for sake of easy math) it just makes sense to want to do 20 million a year than 10 million in projects.

and yes, the Ford GT sold for about 150k new, but I passed on a 2005 for 90k with 5k miles in like new condition. Today that car just sold from the guy that didnt pass it up for 210k...not a bad return FOR A CAR, and he got 4 years of ownership. If someone paid you 25k a year to drive a Ford GT from time to time, few would turn that down.

On another note, I have heard nothing of Ford discontinuing the Raptor until the body change, but would expect it then, for a year or two anyway.
