Pure speculation on my part but hear me out:

It looks like most folks that ordered right out the gates in June are getting Aug/early Sept build dates (even with all the production delays included). Now that Ford has started cranking out production raptors (according to the other thread) they may be opening up the spigot for more orders, including from dealers without original allocations (just like any other business they’re in it to make $$$). There’s also all the yet unused allocations from dealers trying to charge ADMs, why let them go to waste.

And keep in mind we’re still easily looking at half a million F150s built this year despite supply issues. Correct me if I’m wrong but raptors are built on the same line as the other trims. Should be able to squeeze in a few hundred extra MY21/22 raptors here and there no problem.

Ok this was back in 2018 when I ordered mine but as far as allocations go I was told that a regular Ford dealer that wasn’t selling like crazy got a allocation of 2 SVT vehicles a month a premier Dealer (what ever that means, I guess selling the **** out of things) gets 5 SVT allocations a month and those could be adjusted by the regional rep. Take it for what it’s worth but I had to wait two months for my order to go in due to allocations already taken up in front of me and I happened to order through a premier dealer. At MSRP but that was better than all the dealers around charging 8-10,000 ADM at the time!

I called 82 dealers to find mine and I found that Ford didn’t share information equally. Dealers that were given allocations were specifically told all the details. Dealers not given allocations were left in the dark by Ford. I spoke only with managers at dealers and some of the ones without allocations didn’t even know Raptor orders had started.

If Ford didn’t give a dealer allocations in June then they either told them Raptor orders wouldn’t be filled until Nov as 2022’s or they just didn’t tell them anything.

Option #3 you listed are the dealer’s ordering 2022 models.

Yea for my Gen 2 I got a truck the owner drove for 800 miles or so....paid $2500 over because it was the perfect spec. This time around I won't pay over and all I'm looking for is a dealer to say "let me put you down for a 2022 allocation when they come though, at MSRP"....I'll make some more calls next month I guess....

When I checked around Louisiana two weeks ago there were several dealer’s with 2021 Raptors w/ 35’s at MSRP; just no 37’s left. Only bad thing was for most of them it was too late to change options/colors.

When you call dealer’s, ask if they have any Raptors already on order not spoken for, then ask for the build sheets, and then call Ford Perf to see if they have build dates.

Wasn't going to upgrade from my 2018, but couldn't resist...just placed my order with my dealer earlier this week. They only had 2 allocations for 2021s: 1x 35 & 1x 37. The 37 was already spoken for by a dealer employee so I had to go with the 35s. They've never charged ADMs, but said they would be for 2022s.

If you can wait for a 2022, my dealer doesn't get many allocations, but sells everything for invoice. I have bought a ton from them and that's the deal no matter the vehicle. Also have Black Diamond Bronco on order at invoice.

When I spoke with Ford Performance last week, I asked what possible reasons there could be that a dealer wouldn't know their available allocations. I believe it was Anthony or Matthew I spoke with who said that it's possible depending on dealership size in the area, the Zone Rep may not actually issue allocations to individual dealerships specifically but will assign allocations as orders come in.

Not sure if it's true but it mirrored what my dealer has alluded to with me. They're a small-town dealer in a region that's not super populated that just so happens to move a lot of FP vehicles.

Guess I'll find out more, my buddy who was #1 in line got a vin last week. I'm #2 behind him. We both got the 37 package.
