The main point is if a customer ask for something so minor like this, then a salesman needs to have a better response instead of annoying the customer over stupid stuff. Even if we didn't pay for the tank, a better response would of been that their policy is only to use regular gas but if you would like premium, then the difference of $8.40 can be added to the paperwork. Instead of a crap response that we will leave the tank empty because we only fill it with regular. .24 difference per gallon x 35

Dealers are such jerks the majority of the time, it just annoys me but I should know better.

My dealer/salesman said my new '13 would come with a full tank. But I noticed when I left the dealer, mine was about 3/4 full. I blew it off, thinking the station they used might have stopped at $75 - like some other station pumps do. I wasn't going to turn around and argue about 1/4 tank...but it does aggravate me as a consumer just out of principle. Don't tell me something and not completely follow thru with it.

Just a follow up on what happened on this request. Upon delivery they did fill it with premium, the salesman made note to tell me that when we were looking the truck over as I requested and I thanked him.

Come find out that in the finance office and signing paperwork the they charged me a $29 surcharge for the premium fill. Of course I said something. Difference is only at most .50 higher (actually is .30) which on the high side at $18 and thats for 36 gallons which we know would of been less than that. I balked but felt it wasn't worth bitching about over $20 when they sold the raptor for $50 over invoice. I did make my point and declined everything the finance guy was trying to sell me.

Just thought I would let you know what a dealer "might" do if you make this request.
