So, got to call roadside assistance yesterday and today.
Yesterday netted them thinking a jump start was what I needed (NOPE).
Okay, I was working on and cleaning the truck most of the day Sunday with two way on (listening) doors open and tunes on. Went to fire it up and no crank over.... Looked at the little screen and it has in red, start system fault (no shit), anyways it then scrolls to add, low oil pressure (not running so I guess) engine overheat, )had not been ran all day) something about remove objects from passenger seat, tire pressure, 4X4, check advance trac, oh, driver door ajar, passenger door ajar (Yes they were both open derrr).
So thinking maybe I had ran the battery down to low to crank I put charger on it to see if that would help, NOPE! So I went and disconnected battery for a couple of minutes to see if it needed rest.. NOPE. Took my second key to see if it was a keychip/battery issue, NOPE, no joy! So they guy comes out to jump it, no go... he thinks it is the starter, plausable, but I don't think so.... by this time being too late and him not having a flat bed, he says call tomorrow, bye....
So today I arrange tow to dealer and we will see what they find. I called the service manager at dealership, to give him my symtoms and findings and steps I have taken... I was looking at the "jump start" section of owners manual and it says not to disconnect battery...
I am sure they will say it is because I have two way radio installed or the intercom, but we will see....
So needless to say, I am bummed..... and have some trust issues...
