Thanks for the input everyone! I did a search for bump stops but still have a few questions.

With something like rogue/add/icon/etc is the added frame reinforcement built in or are those two seperate things? This might be a dumb question but i see the bump stop "crossmember" part above the frame does this raise the bed? Any recommendations for bump stops and why?

I hope your not talking about jumping the truck, if so that is probably the worst piece of advice you could give him......
There is that you tube movie that shows this suv going over the edge of a dune and the guy slamming on the brakes, driving the nose down and going end over end...

But you go right ahead and jump and brake and rebuild... repeat as often as you like.

Please release the throttle and don't brake. Throttle after you land. Or brake after if you need to think about what just happened.

Sound advice is always welcome but I figure it's going to be a while till I start taking it table tops, lol.

Just to clarify, I was talking about learning to drive fast off-road; it can happen easily that you have an unexpected loss for contact with mother earth. A panic reaction could be jumping on the brakes, not good.

Jumping is a different situation, you do it intentionally and speeding up or slowing down the wheel will influence the truck attitude.
