Has anyone ever had an issue with cutouts and warrantys? Wanna do Dougs but am interested in finding out if Ford will try to void the warranty for a cutout.

I'm pretty sure the warranty on the exhaust will be hosed. The rest of the car should continue to be covered...

Depending on how your dealer wants to work for you there customer any after market item can effect how they are willing to warranty the truck. Currently I have my truck in for 4wd. warranty work yet have been denied twice for reason of aftermarket uca.

just close it... pretty much can guarantee they will never notice any different. ya if you slide in on 2 wheels cutout open and rattling the windows and turning every head in the department..your asking for trouble.

They have to be able to prove the modification caused the failure they are refusing service on. That is a Federal law I believe. I can't think of many warranty issues a cutout would cause.

If you are interested in Doug's or QTP's, we have awesome deals on them-

^^^ What he said,

I have worked for dealers for over 20 years. Your factory warranty is valid unless a modification to the truck or to a factory part caused the failure.

If you change or modify the exhaust then you only void your warranty on the exhaust not the rest or the truck.

Now some dealers just suck and will lie about this because they get paid more money (warranty rate vs customer pay rate) if they can get you to pay for the repair and not put it through warranty.

Some dealers even get you to pay AND put it through warranty to get paid twice!!! (scum)

i was told that if its installed behind the cat and you didnt change anything between the engine and the cat, theres nothing to void, and your warranty will be fine. course, some dealers may try and screw with you on that.
