Biggest, I have been on this forum for over a year and a Raptor owner coming up on one year. I look at the forum when i can. I have to say that this is the best thing i have seen yet. I love day dreaming about being able to do anything i want to my truck all the time. You have given me the biggest grin staring at all the work you have done, knowing what is possible. Thank YOU! keep at it.

That was typed wrong.

Obviously the first one across the line wins, but a trap speed of 100 vs 120 dictates that the 120 is more powerful and should have won.

"Should've won" doesn't matter in racing (except in F1, but that's not really racing, just politics), you either lost, or you won, that's it

I know offf topic
But atleast F1 does just make left turns only

Drag racing as loads of varibles
Should have one relates to if all the variables you try to achieve are realised

Biggest, looking good. Only thing I'd do is grab you some bogarts and drag tires for these kinda days. You got that buddy ! That'll be your next and easiest time gain at least. I know it's not a drag truck and seeing it in action @TRR was sweet! But for extra bragging rites, your Raptor on slicks would be sweet time slips. ;)

Seriously the question is why add slicks? It's an offroad truck with offroad suspension and offroad tires, it ran 10.91, to get a factory vehicle that's gonna run sub 11 seconds you're gonna pay hundreds of thousands of dollars or more, and they're built to put the power down, biggest has more than enough bragging rights with his current times

Btw i am a busniss analist so i know numbers

No offense, but if any of my BAs got in here and tried to do the math on this truck based on anything in this thread, they would be fired - or beaten. It is analyst, btw :) I think an analist is someone who does something with butts. (Jk bud, couldn't resist)

Normally you could play a numbers game and get close to the "should be"s of a trucks performance. But you have to consider all of the variables with this vehicle that make it nothing like a stock truck, and therefore very difficult to compare to a stock truck.

The weight of this vehicle is unknown, the unsprung weight has been raised significantly - which makes a much more drastic change to the acceleration of a vehicle. 100lbs in the bed is NOTHING compared to 100lbs at the wheels.

We saw what the truck made on the dyno, we know it probably weighs at least what a stock truck weighs, the suspension isn't tuned for the track, those tires aren't for the track, and the drivetrain in the truck should laugh when someone with 900hp under the hood tries to launch this thing like a badass.

All in all, to run a 10.91 in this truck took a TON of horsepower and probably a 0-60 (on a good day) in the mid to high 3s. A 4 second 0-60 would mean it had next to no traction but would have to be making a ton of power to overcome that and still run in the 10s.

Your initial impression of a 0-60 based on the 13@104 is way off too, that would be a mid 4 sec 0-60. Of course this is all opinion based on my experience, and as stated earlier - until we have gps data nobody knows!

Get out of the text books and to the race track if you want to crunch numbers, it's way more fun and a ton more accurate.

Since a bunch of engine guys are in here, and I am tired of looking like a ******* by starting new threads about retarded shit all of the time, I will ask here...

Why cant(or can they) ford racing engines be used. Like the 427 making 600+hp etc?

How much would it take to make it work? I know this power upgrade is nowhere NEAR what is being talked about with biggest's truck, and not livernois, but just curious why some of the big engines that say used in trucks cant be used in a raptor.\
