Nope. 35s. Toyos. Not significantly different though.... even the shop said it’s not the tires.... no way you’re making up the difference for the inflated numbers.

I’m not that familiar with the Toyos, but, safe bet they are both heavier and probably not having as “street” of a tread pattern. At this power level, I’d be concerned about it.

it will not touch a TRX

How do you know? You’re significantly lighter, better gears and up 150 hp. The Rap doesn’t need 600 rwhp to be competitive IMO. You’ll have to let us know.

else, ******** some NAWZ and squeeze it.

i'll say this, on 40s, my truck "feels" right when I dump 100 Octane in it.

When I go back to 93, it feels like an absolute slug comparatively. when I run 91, I'm constantly banging it off the limiter and calling the truck every dirty word that I can muster.

I know a lot of folks want to believe in the ecoboost, but man..... there truly is no replacement for displacement.

When RMB punches the motor out to a 4.2, along with turbos to match, it puts it down, even on pump gas.

The big challenge is, If you're going to dump $50K-ish into building out the motor and supporting mods to put down big power, you could have dropped 30-35K into a supercharged coyote, had a V8 soundtrack, with a way snappier driving feel down low and an arguably more reliable motor with commonly available replacement parts. The tunes that TMX worked out with Petty's Garage make those trucks REALLLLLLY fun to drive.

I wonder if going to deeper gears might help get you in a powerband that is more appropriate. I also wonder if maybe upgrading the transmission with the suncoast kit (clutches and a billet TC) will help you put more of the power down.

I'm moving to 5.14s in hopes that I get a little bit better performance out of my truck. The math says that's even with 5.14s, my top speed will be 203mph on 40s. :anitoof: , so I wouldn't worry about decreasing your top speed by going to deeper gears.

The main point to this thread was to raise awareness... for those doing this mod... this is what you get... to some it might be worth it.

I have a new tune in the works and hopefully that’ll improve my inpression of things.

I’ll get the tune cleaned up a bit and that’ll help...

then the real cure comes with a new truck. As much as I didn’t want to go that route... if Ford releases a supercharged v8... I’m there.

that TRX is hitting 3.7-3.8 0-60 which is similar to the Jeep track hawk.... and I can promise you stepping on the gas is nothing like a track hawks which I’ve driven... so I’m pretty sure the TRX is going to be special in that department.

Honestly , someone has to do it, and I truly appreciate your honesty and your pioneering attitude. Thanks man.

The TRX weighs 1k lbs more than a Trackhawk with the same engine. Why would Ram state the 0-60 time is 4.5 seconds if they could hit 3.7-8 seconds?

been looking at the independent testing.

MOPAR has a habit of underrating their horsepower. Wouldn’t be shocked if it’s not more than the 702.

multiple sources have quoted 4 seconds and less.... now granted it’s using launch control but it’s still as impressive as heck.... it’s running low 12s in the quarter, stock.

MOPAR has a habit of underrating their horsepower. Wouldn’t be shocked if it’s not an 800 horsepower red eye rated at 702.

If that’s the case, then I don’t see how Ford does not give us a SC V8 option. Lol any truck that is 6400 lbs w/ 35” tires that can do a sub 4 second 0-60 is crazy.

Thanks for putting all your findings down in this Post. So with this information I would guess that the Ford GT is maxed out. I haven’t seen any Dyno’s but I’m sure your both close.
