Most companies here give you 1 windshield a year. They'll fix the first one no problem, but if your breaking more than 1 per year, they'll up your rate a little.

also, the crack getting longer is due to heat cycles in the windshield

In Texas we had Farm Bureau Insurance and you could get one replaced for $50 without your insurance going up. Since we moved to Missouri we have Progressive and they want a full deductible and your rates go up. So, it doesn't pay to get them to replace it. I think my '07 F150 windshield was $475 and my deductible was $500.

insurance for sure, Ford may cover it though if it says stress cracks. but its a tough call.

my ranger got hit with a rock chip the day I took it home, now has two cracks, from the chip, one fully up the height of the windshield, and one straight across 3/4 of the width lol.

its annoying, but I got used to it.

It can't hurt to check with your insurance co. A lot of states mandate them to cover it if you have full coverage. I know mine has a $100 deductible, and my premium never increased. Good Luck!

Well shit, there is a MICRO chip in it right on where the seal is and ford said if there wasnt they would have replaced it. Looks like Ill be getting the insurance to do it.
I just wonder if insurance sends out a windshield repair company or I take it to ford and they pay the bill
