I just asked my dealer about the COVP and was told the program is a way to prioritize customers who ordered a 2021 model vehicle but were actually rolled over into 2022. Apparently it won't help expedite things if you have an order for a 2022 in the system. Bummer..
Im hearing different. So why is the COVP program still open Raptors? and why are dealers still submitting orders for Raptors using it?

I was told same thing by my dealer. Said ford clarified this week that Raptors were not eligible. He said allocation limits are because of parts constraints and theres not really a way around that. Makes sense to me, I'm sure ford would love to build more trucks. Also, weren't most retail orders already being required to submit buyers info to verify it was actually a buyer ordering the truck?

Not sure…this is my first time ordering. I do have a approved COVP sheet from Ford Headquarters. So, i’m guessing it means nothing then?

This is so ridiculous. Why is it so freakin hard to get a clear answer on any of this. Ford should be monitoring these forums and help clarify. I’m about to give up on the brand. I’m 4 Raptors in, this might be my last.

I just spoke to my dealer/sales manager and he told me Raptor does not qualify for COVP!! I’m not sure what to believe now.

Who knows at this point. Ford began requiring copy of drivers license and signed purchase agreement last year to verify retail orders. Seems to be the same type of verification as COVP (making sure the order is for an actual buyer). So just not sure I see how it is a new program. Maybe COVP is expanding that requirement to all other vehicle types? Says it does not apply to specialty vehicles and the Raptor seems to be a specialty vehicle...

It’s not just for verifying buyer’s info. It also has to deal with how allocation is given too. TBH i don’t know what to believe anymore and its pretty much all a waiting game for ppl who ordered a Raptor

As you said, who knows what to believe. My reading of it says that they will grant additional allocations for orders that can be verified as being from an actual buyer. Im not sure how that verification is different from what was in place before. Retail orders were already being verified for Raptors last year.

From the Blue Oval Forum,
"The program applies to unscheduled retail orders, allows Ford to verify that retail orders are legitimate upon reviewing the required documentation... and helps Ford to expedite the scheduling of retail orders and rewards customers and Dealers alike by scheduling these retail orders with incremental allocation!”

I ordered mine from a small dealership in Wisconsin. It is a 37 inch performance package 2022 raptor that I ordered on October 1 of 2021. The dealer didn’t know if they would even get an allocation. But they had me order through the COVP program. I am now scheduled with a vin for the last week in February.

Well this gives me some hope. I ordered a 801a 2022 12/15 from a small/medium sized dealership a buddy works at a few hours away from where I live. They forwarded me the email with it was received and will be scheduled. Hopefully it gets built and I have it around summertime which would be great.
