That's terrible for just one winter and mostly just sanded roads!!

Let us know what Ford says aout warranty!!

I wonder how tough they'd be to wrap in some of the heavier 3M wrap, if you did it when they were new??

I'm a week away from pulling the trigger on the RPG tuned 3.0 shocks, but am hesitant after reading this thread. As an avid snowboarder, I would hate to put a set of 3.0 on my truck and haven them corrode like some of yours.

I wonder if coating your shocks coated in this product (http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IPM8OR6W6WE) would work to prevent rust and corrosion.

Im gonna try something this winter. 3M has a clear spray-on hood protector that Im thinking may work on the exposed aluminum and help keep corrosion off the tubes. Not sure how it will hold up under the vehicle but, youre suppose to be able to peel it off the hood after a year and then reapply. Im thinking as long as it gets me thru the winter, Ill be good.

Now mine are not the stock shocks but, these went through a winter, the snoball 500 and the spring 13. What I do is spray them all the time and when the weather gets better I polish then.
