What filter are you guys referring to? It is my understanding from a different thread that there is no cabin filter in the F-150/Raptor. So you are talking about the main air filter?

Mine seem to work very well after 5 months and 5k miles. Could it be that the hotter weather makes it seem like they are not working as well as they did a couple of months ago when it was cooler?

There is a filter for the cooling air on the bottom of each seat. Round, maybe 4" diameter, can be reached and seen from the back.

Ok guys i did some investigating today so I figure i would tell you all my findings. Essentially these seats are not of the best design, however i did fid a way to make them work a bit better.

First there are two blowers that do the work...one for the base of the at and one for the seat back. they have two different types of filter. The first is round and can be removed with a half twist to the left, and the other is essentially a strip with two hooks on the end to hold it in place (seat back). I have them pictured below.

The first thing that i did was remove these damn filters...i don't see them doing a whole lot but restricting flow. My truck is never gonna see heavy dirt or dust on the interior, as it gets cleaned and vacuumed often.

Upon inspection on the blower in the seat back i noticed that the blower was not sealed to the seat cushion, thus losing air flow out the sides. This is the major reason that the seats aren't blowing much air. Below is first a pic of the seat opened up and second one of the space. To open the seat just expose the base of the zippers (it is tucked under the seat), and unclip the plastic tabs from each other at the bottom of the seat back.

Also notice the black piping leading to the base of the seat back...that is an exhaust for the blower.

Notice the filter installed around the top of the blower and the space between it and the seat.

a better pic of the space!!!!!

From here i poked a small hole in the cushion of the seat and treaded a wire tie through...upon tightening this it pulled the blower against the seat cushion causing a seal. This actually did help a bit. The fix is shown in the pic below...you can see the placement of the wire tie.

I haven't dug much into the bottoms of the seats yet, but that is to come. Another thing that everyone should note is that these are only blowers and have no way of actually cooling the air...so if they are getting cold air in they are blowing cold air out and if the truck is full of hot air they are gonna blow hot. I plan to use the vents under the seats, which work when you have the ac on feet, to pipe some conditioned air up to the intake of the blowers...that means they will be blowing cold air as soon as the ac gets cold. But like i said guys the seat base still only seems to get cool up buy the front or the area closes to the steering wheel. Thats all for now guys!

The seat back blowers are easy to get to and the ones under the seat it easy to get to the filter, but im not sure about checking to make sure the air is flowing correctly. Ran outa time, bc i had to change the oil on the Cobra...might be go out tonight and look for some vipers and vettes to eat!!!! haha

I couldn't find the ones under the seat but I did get the one off the back and I can't say it helped. I don't see any AC hose running to it. Is it AC or is it just regular air being pumped in?

Correct it is just pulling in normal cabin air...i was saying though that it would be easy to run some tubing from the ac vent under the seat (rear leg vents)up into the seat near the intake of the seat cooler.

Also to find the blower for the bottom seat look for the white foam dome...that is the blower...removing the filters will prob help a bit.
