Coolant disappearing on new 2020???????

I have coolant disappearing, the expansion tank is now 1 1/2" below min. I saw it was low (slightly below min when hot) a few days ago and assumed it was poor prep. I have to take it in next week I was going to have them top it off. I put about 100 miles on today and it was noticeably lower when I returned. I only have about 600 miles on it so far. Nothing visible anywhere I can see in the engine compartment or underneath. Nothing visible has dripped in my garage. No smoke from exhaust, engine runs amazingly well, oil on dipstick looks perfect. Any ideas? Anybody else had similar problem? I'm thinking maybe a small leak somewhere dripping onto something hot, which is why there's no evidence of leaking coolant?

My coolant level came on the low end. I topped it up and all good. PDI probably didn’t happen.

If your coolant isn’t going out the tailpipe then probable wasn’t burped out at the factory.

You’re going to the dealer so have them take a peek.

check where the tube attaches to the right side of the expansion tank.... mine leaks from there

Look for any coolant residue around the gooseneck thermostat housing. My GEN1 began to leak there because the gooseneck is cast aluminum, the surface that seals to the radiator hose became corroded and pitted, and that broke the seal against the hose. Also, the spring fittings that the factory uses (vice screw-type hose clamps) are always suspect. Check every place they are used.

I never found drops of coolant on he garage floor under my truck, either, and locating the source took a good deal of crawling under the truck with good lighting and standing on my head in the engine compartment. Try harder. You'll find it. Chances are that it only leaks when hot and only a little, so airflow through the engine compartment and under the truck is blowing away most of the free liquid.

That's MY trouble, not my truck! I'll take another look. I'm pulling the wheels to take them to the powdercoater today anyway.

Just top it off with distilled water and see if it continues to drop.

You would smell it if dripping on hot surface. it could simply be poor bleeding from factory and air has worked its way out. Did it come with the yellow factory fill?

So I had this issue with my 2018. I could faintly smell coolant once the engine was warm. When I took it to the dealership they did a pressure test and said everything was fine. I continue to smell coolant and saw my coolant level slowly dropping. After digging around I saw some drops of coolant weeping from the water pump. I took it backTo the dealership and they found that there was a casting issue from the manufacture of the water pump and of the thermostat housing. I had them both replaced under warranty no issue sense. I would highly suggest taking it in and have it fixed under warranty.
