The factory throttle mapping in normal mode is tuned for fuel economy, so it tends to hesitate if you accelerate from a stop quickly. Traction control can also factor into that.

Try putting the truck in Sport Mode and see if the concern is alleviated; Sport changes throttle mapping to make the truck much more responsive.

This is my 1st turbo vehicle as well and I really think it's just turbo lag. It was there before and after I got a tune. It's not as bad now, but it's still there.

My other car is a 2019 ZL1 Camaro and even stock there is ZERO hesitation and instant torque and power as soon as you step on the gas.

I have about 800-900 miles on the truck. Only used high octane, I run in the normal mode and no mods done.

The hesitation is like it stalls for a second then goes. I stop and when I turn and give it gas it hesitates. I have to turn left on to my road I live on and it is a busy road. When I go I have to go quick, most of the time. But on 2 occasions (i recall well) when I give it the gas and turn left it hesitates...n it goes It has been too close for me with oncoming cars, and it shouldn't be.

Thank you for all the input.

Just my $.02 - mine did this and other weird shifting stuff until about 1000 miles. Manual says the computer learns for the first 1000 miles and its perfectly normal. Drive it more and see if it disappears.

You're feeling turbo lag guys. Either grab a pedal commander which will help but not 100% fix it or get used to slowly rolling into something before you go

I experience this too, and I think it's a combo of normal mode and traction control. I don't experience it in sport mode.
