Thank you. I like that setup. Looks easier to establish your initial grip being off to the side rather than directly under the steering wheel.

With the stickimup magnet, would there be any issues with hard drives on iPods, external drives, usb drives, etc stored in the console due to the magnet? Hmmmm. If not, that's a good, easy solution.

This reminds me, I'm on vaca and now would be a good time to get my cc permit. I like the mounts in the center console. I'm not sure that I would want to have a weapon out in the open. Just my 2 cents.

I think it all depends on what you're doing. Sometimes it's nice to have easily accessible. Other times you'd rather just have it in the center console. Those magnets are pretty cheap so it wouldn't hurt to install a couple.

I'm jealous. I think everyone without any weapon offences should have this!

:shooter:

On a side note, Blackhawk close quarter combat paddle holsters are awesome, I regularly use one of those or my inside waist band. Great quality stuff. Well thought out.

Last post by jay.gordon is in my opinion the best placement (though I can't agree with the Toyota..). The whole point of carrying is to have quick easy access to defend yourself, right? Carrying inside a center console or even using a Serpa holster that requires you to depress a release to draw is just plain silly. When pulled up to a stop sign and someone has a gun aimed at your face and demands you get out and give you them your sexy ass truck, are you going to have the presence of mind or even the time to open your console and pull out your side arm? I will argue a definitive No! (I've been there and done that in Savannah, GA).
The best option I have seen and utilize is to just stick your firearm between the seat and the center console. No holster needed, no drilling, sticky velcro tape, or other BS. You don't have to limit yourself to just one firearm and if you are carrying on the regular I am sure you have multiple firearms and don't want to limit yourself to just one. It is very quick and accessible which is why we all want to carry in the first place. For those of you that are worried about it being visible when you get out just tuck it in your pants or toss it in the console then. It is not an open carry because if more than half of it is covered its concealed.
This is just my two cents which I know isn't worth very much but I have been held up in my truck and I also own multiple firearms as well I don't want to drill and muck up my truck with double sided tape and the like
