My ranger has the same color, and no issues.
however, the paint match can I got, is ever so slightly different. there are quite a few spots on my truck I've touched up from scratches, and dings, and you can tell if you look close enough. Whereas the gray on my lowers, match perfectly.

white truly is one of the hardest colors to match. So maybe they were painted with two different batches of paint?

either way, I hope you get it fixed to your liking.

White isn't a color. it is defined as completely void of color. :troll3:

Unless there's a HD photo that we all can see for ourselves, we all have no idea what it looks like but I can tell you right now, having been in and out of the collision industry, there will always a color difference between a flat body panel and a curved body panel side by side. Brand new Camaro's even have this problem. The curved panel will have different shading "illusions" that mess with our eyes. Also, i watched the ultimate factories episode on the Raptor and i noticed that the front fenders and hoods get painted seperate of the cab and doors for the Raptor models . Unless your trucks color is obviously way off, I wouldn't sweat it.

My 2010 is also white and in the sun, the front clip does have an slighty color shade darker.
Member First Ford truck is also white and it looks the same as mine. I think the shade difference is due to the difference in materials (fiberglass front end & metal).

Plastic bumper covers on normal cars always come out different shades of colors. Plastic bakes differently. Fiberglass, composites, carbon, and metals can come out looking exactly the same if they're shot in the same spray booth the exact same way with the same paint at the same time. If you shoot more materials and parts not at the same time but with the same paint, they will come looking different. Take, for a good example, the $100,000+ Corvette ZR1. Next time look at the color difference between the hood and fenders and front cover. They don't match. Same paint. Not shot at the same time. I was at the Corvette museum and saw this personally.

A repaint, even by your dealer can significantly, and negatively impact the resale value of a vehicle. Check this for yourself before deciding what to do. If Ford steps up for the respray they should also compensate you for any loos in book value suffered.

I will post a HD or as close to HD pic tomorrow. I got off work too late and figured that natural light is the best. The dealership was very quick to get her into their body shop for a examination but I agree might as well do some investigating. They offered me a ford focus during the re-paint...i almost started laughed.

If other whites Raptors here are a exact match w/fender/body then there is something def. wrong with my color from body to fenders. It is not a shade issue. The Service manager and technicians were baffled and had never seen anything like it before but all agreed that the color was not the same.

I did wonder about the resale impact as it is basically i agree it is now a repainted (possibly previously damaged in someone's eyes) vehicle. I don't think my dealership will compensate anything based on their reaction....except repaint which they already offered...oh yeah with a ford focus.

I asked if turns out to be be a error on Ford's/Dealership end and i continue to have re-occuring remote start and Nav screen issue's what can you do for me? He said... "Nothing....kid this isn't a red dress you can't just return it or get a exchange with but i can work out a trade in for ya." I told him wow that awesome service....I said yeah red dresses usually are not 60K and I prob. should have never have spent this much on a F'n Ford I guess.

That's when the service manager came in an broke up the show.... I come from a service industry and still work in a service industry and factor this into my decision to spend my money. I really hope they (FORD) stand by their word and I really hope that I didn't get a lemon or a damaged truck sold as "new".

Service manager is a good guy....saleperson was a jerk. Last thing i would do is trade anything in with that guy.

Don't ranting for now....

I agree, if its only slight, I wouldn't repaint either. And if you plan on keeping the truck, their repaint may not hold up as well as factory. I wish Ford would bring back Wimbledon White, I like it much better than pure white they use now.

I too have noticed this on my 12, and thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. Outside under the sun I can't see a difference, but parked in the garage under halogen lights it's noticeable. The doors seem a different shade than the front fenders and bed.
