Someone has a dyno result of just the CAI on their raptor, I've seen it on this forum and I'm surprised no one has posted it up. If I remember right it was like 10 rwhp which was very surprising to me

did they do back to back runs? same day, same dyno, same conditions, stock, then with CAI? because that's the only way you will get true results.

I dynoed my 2003 Harley (supercharged 5.4L) before and after installing a Volant CAI and and only saw 2 HP gain. I didn't see any difference in track times either...not that I was expecting any. I also noticed a slight increase in fuel economy which was nice.

I later installed a dual high flow cats/mid pipes/X pipes/mufflers on my Harley and combined with a CAI, I saw a 6-7rwhp gain.

and that gain was probably simply from the filter change.
ditch the factory filter for a high flow filter and you will see the same gain. no need for a $400 tube and cone filter when a simple $50 filter change will do the exact same thing. just my opinion. some people do CAI's for looks, and the sound you get from it, and thats all fine and dandy.

If you can change out even one thing to make it less restrictive your helping the power mpg. on a cai it might just be .1 but in the long haul it's worth it. .5mpg over 20 years is probably $5

I just put a K&N sticker on mine, and I'm assure I got a gain of .1 in RWHP in my Raptor.

I actually got about 1mpg better with every mod so 3mpg over a 10 year period I'll have paid for the mod's and they are fun having.
actually it's a lot more lol I put on about 10,000 miles a year so 10,000 / 3=3,333 X $4.00=13,000 a year I can't afford not to have mod ed it. + I save .10 cents per gallon on top of that because I use e-30 ethanol. so 7,000X.10=700.00 a year.

I saw the same 2hp and slight fuel gain utilizing the factory air box and installed a drop in K&N filter. My biggest gains was from the exhaust. I spent about $1700 and saw less than 10 HP gain. On a side note, the blower and exhaust sounded better.
