Just checking in to see if I am crazy...I have fox 3.0 and when pushed down fireroads fast on graded or shallow bumps they make a loud clunk only noticable for me on the drivers side. I haven't noticed them on bigger ruts or whoops, but it was loud enough for me to stop and see if something was loose....

Any ideas? Its almost like the compression damping was set too stiff for the small bumps...but I checked and it seems fine.

I know with my moto hi and low speed compression with make this thud if it wasn't set up correctly....

Any tips on how to diagnose this? It does it on the street as well it just hadn't bothered me as much because i wasn't hitting stuff to notice it fregquently...It does it over potholes and speed bumps.

Thanks in advance!

Have you checked to make sure nothing is loose ? With a wrench not just hand shaking it ...

It could be the bypass valves as well one may be sticking and popping open ? My guess I know on aircraft shocks we have that problem sometimes ...

Make sure the lower bolt is tight- 405lbs is spec. Are they charge to at least 150psi. The resevoir plunger will thump if not charged all the way

I checked all the fasteners and alll are torqued to spec...The nitrogen was all fine as well. My mechanic said that it could be coming from the heims since I don't have rubber bushings anymore because the fox shox are metal as well as the race upper control arms...does that sound accurate?

So it turns out when I check all the pressures myself the left front was at 100 psi. I filled it up to 175 psi and the noise is gone...What pressure should I be running in these? I will check with fox and see what is suggested.
