probably try to ride with them while they do the test drive with the chassis earsI'm going in on the 23rd and asked to do a quick drive with the tech to replicate the issue. Might help to drive with the tech for those having issues getting the dealer to duplicate.
What makes my situation more frustrating is that this is the same dealer that I brought my 21 Raptor to a few months ago with the exact same noise. I brought my own chassis ears at that time and rode with the tech. Of course there wasn’t a fix then and now that I have my 22 there, they can’t duplicate. The manager just called me and said they can’t duplicate the noise but would apply chassis ears and go for a test drive. If they can’t duplicate they are unwilling to replace anything. I’ve mentioned it is worse in cooler temps, currently 90 degrees here.probably try to ride with them while they do the test drive with the chassis ears
my plan is to wait for cooler weather and go with on the test drive on a road that I know will duplicate the clunk. What makes my situation more frustrating is that this is the same dealer that I brought my 21 Raptor to a few months ago with the exact same noise. Sorry, just venting a little.
they are supposed to put the chassis ears on it.I’ll be trying a different dealer. The first one called me back and said “we heard the noise a little but couldn’t tell which side so we can’t order parts. You can take the truck until it gets worse.”
Strange how the Ford Pass App doesn’t show a change on the odometer since yesterday but they “test drove” it again today.
Based on my experience with chassis ears, it would be pretty easy to determine which ones make the noise or not.they are supposed to put the chassis ears on it.
Smelling a little BS there... if not driven. I am going Thursday to ride with the chassis guy and the service manager (for the 3rd time), but the bulletin should help.I’ll be trying a different dealer.
