Since I'll be taking the Raptor in for service for all the electronic issues I'm having (details here) wondering if I should ask about the noise I'm hearing when I shift into and out of the different 4WD options. It happens from during any drive mode switch that changes the configuration including 4 Auto and out of 4WD H/L to 2WD. There is a "clunk" in the hubs. I heard this at a stand still, not sure if it's happening while moving as I haven't been able to hear it in that condition yet. The manual says there will be a "noise" but not sure if a "CLUNK" from the hubs is the noise they mean or not.

should be virtually silent going from 2H to 4A....but going to 4H and 4L will allows sound and feel loud. Definite clunk when the center transfer case shifts.

definitely. Lucille is quiet as a church mouse changing the transfer case.
