The reality of being a Raptor owner is that you’ll end up turning up your nose at some parking spaces purely because you don’t want to be parked next to some peasant-car bmw, range rover or prius. It has very little to do with parking space width.

How dare you! :p

it was easy, really. I just used my QWERTY-FU to transform my observations into text while connected to this thing called the ‘internet’. :)

some folks have told me that I’m a little bitter about that brand-b full brake failure on Susten Pass coming into Andermatt. Yeah, I’m ok with that.

I don't want to park at the expense of getting the truck keyed!

Who's going to do that if you're in the back of the lot where there is plenty of room? And I tend to think people in Houston have a better respect for the effort people put into their trucks and vehicles in general. Trying to give yourself some space so someone's kid doesn't accidentally ding it isn't a sin.

If you do need to park in a busy lot, avoid parking next to minivans or anything that looks like it's transporting kids. Or vehicles that look poorly taken care, they won't have respect for your vehicle either.

You may also want to get into the habit of backing in to a spot, particularly at a event where the lots going to empty all at once. I work for an O&G and backing in to a spot is actually required, so you can evacuate faster if need be.
