Cheap Ebay tripple lights

Yea I know, spend 70k on a truck and get Ebay lights..LOL. I just spend $800 on a bed cover and my budget is shot right now. I really need something to play with though. I found these lights on ebay and figured I'd give them a try. For $55 I don't think I could go wrong. Have any of you tried some Ebay lights?I have wire and connectors laying around and could make my own harness. I just have to pick up a cheap bracket somewhere. I'm really not using them for a purpose like off roading or anything, just a little extra light and looks. Anyone know where I can get a bracket cheaper? Thanks

I come from a long and distinguished line of cheapskates.

You can very easily make your own bracket out of 2” angle aluminum or steel. You need about 14” pieces on each side. Minor trimming to it and just position / drill the holes to mount the lights. Easy-peasey.

I had amazon lights to start out, so not quite as high class as eBay lights, but close.
You’re getting close to black Friday, and deals will be available on decent lights. I encourage you to stock up because my amazon lights were good through 1.5 seasons and I lost one or 2 cubes. The LED bars did better but I did get water intrusion into one. It still worked and I sold it the pair of 17” bars to an FRF member for use on another vehicle. So they won’t last forever, but should get you some time to buy up.

Just make sure you wire sufficiently, good connectors etc. and you can add higher quality lights as you’re able.

Yessir, I speak cheapskate as well, my previous Tacoma has Amazon LED bulbs for the Fogs/DRLs that looked and work great for under $50 bucks. I like the stock lights on my 18 Raptor but the bumper holes need...something. $1000 buys me a lot of gas in TX, so cheap LEDs that work as DRLs similar to my Taco are GTG. Here's a ebay set I'm eyeing...

There are plenty of cheap lights out there. While slightly more expensive, Rough Country offers a complete kit with three pairs of lights, wiring, hardware and mounts for $299.95. It's also backed by a 3 year warranty. We've sold and installed a ton of these kits. While definitely not as bright and not as nice as say Rigid or Baja Designs, they're pretty darn good setup for the price point. They also have a new set that has the amber backlighting which is a cool feature.

For $55 you get 1 pair of lights looking at that listing. So $55 x 3 = $165 now + $73 for that bracket = $238

You get what you pay for. That bracket is a cheap bracket made overseas and will rust. Those lights will get moisture in them and you'll have issues. You need to make your own harness and at the end of the day you'll have some really cheap/junk light for your 70k truck.

If money is tight right now, save up. Don't just buy something cheap because you WILL regret it later and you'll have wasted $238.

Trust me, you'll thank me later taking that advise. You're just going to have lots of problems that it's better to just save up for a little to get a GOOD lighting setup.

Just so ya know, the kits listed on that page I linked all include our own mounting brackets, which we make right here on Long Island. 100% american made (11 gauge stainless steel + powder coated). It'll last as long as your truck.

If you went with the Baja lights, made here in the USA (California actually). The Rigid lights are great quality, only they don't make them here anymore. BUT they still do quality control which is good.

But $55 lights... yeah sorry you're not getting anything quality there. Even if you buy elsewhere, I'd rather you not buy junk. You drive THE most bad-ass production truck around and you want to throw the cheapest POS lights you can find on it? Come on, you can do better

Don’t wast your money on cheap lights. Save for name brand. They will last a lot longer. You will buy the cheap ones then shortly after be buying better ones as they fail. I learned my lesson on a previous truck that way. I just ordered Baja designs I did have to save but they will look better and last longer with quality harness and brackets. Lights are cool but unless your doing 80 mph threw the desert you don’t need them right away, sure they help in other ways and look cool. I’d save for some Baja designs, rigid or KC.

I bought some on eBay for 148.00 included harness and brackets and 6 lights. It’s been a year and one light went out but the others still working. They are bright but the more expensive ones are brighter.
