Changing From 89 to 93 Octane

Just wanted some advice/guidance from anyone who has changed from lower octane to 93 in their gen 3. Picked mine up today and dealer filled it up with 89, but based on the separate threads I’ve read on here, I would like to switch to 93 on my next fill up. Never had to do this before, so looking for best way to go about doing this from anyone who has. Thanks!

Go to the pump, insert credit card, choose 93, put nozzle into fuel filler. Hold handle until full.

You just have to go to the gas pump and hit the 93 button. Then proceed to put it in the fuel tank.

Just keep putting in 93, the electronics will adjust for it. BIG difference in performance.

Just do an internet search on “How to transition.” and follow the instructions. What could possibly go wrong?

Couldn’t he just identify as using 93 octane while still using 89. Should be good enough. The truck will be confused and won’t know the difference.

In their defense, pump was down at the dealer, truck was on fumes and wife and I had our newborn with us. Since my son was a ticking time bomb, I rushed them to get it done so we could get the hell out of there.
